I've used prisma colors many times before and I love using them in class and art that I create myself at home so I don't know why these turned out so awful. I used the complete wrong colors and I really just think these spheres are hideous.
On the bottom of the paper is the 9 values value chart. I think I did the shapes well except for the cylinder it was hard to do the shading in the direction of the shape.
For this apple I used watercolor pencils. I honestly hate these things I think they're very hard to work with and I lose control of my shading. This apple was used just using the watercolor paint. I like using cool colors I think they look nicer for an apple and I think I did really well on this I like my highlights. With this apple I wanted to make something more fun so I used purples and blues to make the apple instead of the normal green and red ones.
1. I chose to only do the stippling technique because it's something I've never done before. I didn't know if I was going to use more techniques but I thought it looked really nice using just stippling.
2. I used perspective by making the pool balls larger and as they go farther back I made them smaller creating the effect of perspective. It's important because if you didn't create the perspective everything would be the same size and on the same place on the paper and it'd look flat and not realistic. 3. I think making the shine on the pool balls showed that they were more solid and glossy. There wasn't really much texture other than that. 4. Value is very important with a perspective piece because as things move further away they get darker and when they are closer to you they are lighter. 5. I think my craftsmanship is okay I like how the pool table itself turned out I just think the pool balls look a little too fake. 6. If I could recreate this I think I would place the pool balls differently and turn them more so they're not perfectly looking at you because it would be more realistic. 7. It's important to utilize the techniques learned in class because Mrs. Rossi taught us how to shade using the pen and it's very hard to go too dark too fast and since it's a pen you can't erase it and she taught us how to not to that by using a light hand at first. 8. Learning how to draw with a pen and shade with a pen was really interesting to me and I think i'm going to use the things I've learned to create further artwork in my future. This is one point perspective where all of the lines go to one vanishing point in the middle of the horizon. This is 2 pt. perspective where all the lines go to two vanishing points on the left and right of the horizon. This is 3 pt. perspective where all the lines go to the two vanishing points on the left and right of the horizon as well as above the horizon in the middle.
Still can't cross hatch, but heres the techniques you taught us; stippling, cross hatching, hatching, and invented. Still only good at stippling.
Using the pen and ink techniques and shapes we created value. Clearly I'm not good at this. Also I can't cross hatch to save my life. Stippling is the only thing I'm good at. I guess I can't use pens.
